The Test For the Test!

I teach in a private school, so we don’t have to teach to the BIG test in May. My students take their test at the beginning of the year. That is the one thing that makes me really thankful about teaching in a private school. I love that I don’t have to teach to the test. This allowed me to really pleasantly surprise myself with the quality and caliber of my teaching. I didn’t have to rush through things. I was able to take my time and REALLY teach.

So, since I can have a sense of humor about testing (Since I don’t have to do it) I found this and thought it was too cute to pass up.

Is this or is this not TRUE???

  1. Sadly true! I would love to teach in a school where I don’t have to worry about all of the standardized tests… but at the same time I want to be able to work with kids from low-income families and those with special needs, adn they are not usually found in private schools! 😦

  2. Not true. There are special education students from low-income families in private schools. It’s actually sad because private school does not have the resources as public school does. I’ve found that the parents expect miracles, in private school, since they struggle to put their children in schools. So, if you had to work in a private school, know that you will still encounter special education students from low-income families.
